Hi, I'm Andi!

I'm a cartoonist, author, and illustrator based in White River Junction, Vermont (by way of Los Angeles, by way of Las Vegas, by way of Singapore, by way of Hong Kong).

My forthcoming debut graphic novel, Jed the Undead, is a YA teen angst dramedy about an anxious, self-deprecating demon who's forced to move to suburban Arizona after his dad's divorce.

I love to write comics about queer teenage life, the mid 2000s, horror genre fiction, and supernatural weirdness. I attended the USC School of Cinematic Arts in undergrad, majoring in Interactive Media & Game Design, and graduated with an M.F.A. equivalent in Comics from The Center for Cartoon Studies. Prior to making comics I worked in game dev as a designer specializing in systems and narrative design, and get really excited about doing both at the same time.

When I'm not making comics, I'm wandering around outdoors (possibly hiking), cooking (like, hardcore, I tried out for MasterChef once and made it to the top 100), and researching the occult (unironically).

I'm currently represented by the incredible
Press!

High-Low Comics on Jed the Undead: Fire in the Hole: "Possibly the funniest two-page spread I read this year."

SyFy Wire on Jed the Undead: Fire in the Hole: "I can't imagine anyone not finding Jed's woes at least a little relatable."

Women Write About Comics, on Trans Man Walking #1: "An incredible range for such a short zine!"

Women Write About Comics on American Spirits: "Santagata hasn’t been at this comic for long, but it’s already on my weekly webcomic pull-list."
